Great news!!!

As of today, we are officially licensed to be foster parents! YEAH! FINALLY!!!! We are doing foster to adopt so the only kiddos that we will be called about are kiddos whose parents rights have already been terminated or cases where termination is the most likely outcome. So, it still may be awhile before we get calls but we are still excited to officially be "waiting". I never thought I'd be saying that I'm excited to be waiting...my, how things change. =) We will get assigned a new casemanager. Hopefully we will meet with him/her soon. We are just happy that we are over the first big hurdle in getting us matched! YEAH!

I think getting this news was the only thing that got me through the day. This week is going to be a long and rough week. It's our last big week of the "project" and we're all tired as we're now in our 8th week! That isn't including the 6 weeks leading up to it! So, we're physically tired and this week is going to be very emotionally draining as family members have to talk about how all of this has impacted them. I will need to have a stash of kleenex clsoe by! I also found out today that I will be working for a few hours on Sunday morning. woo hoo....ok, not so much! I just have to keep thinking, in two weeks this will hopefully be done!
