Merry Christmas!

Andy and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! We wish safe trip to all those who are traveling to be with their families! I was reading my post from last year and it's interesting that some things have changed and some haven't. We're still in Colorado...which we're ok with this year. We are both lucky to have great jobs, great friends, and good place to live. We have started the foster to adopt process and will hopefully have a little one joining us by maybe Feb or sometime after that. We miss our families but will hopefully be making a trip to see them soon! I believe that we are both very lucky to have such amazing families! Our families have been a great support to us and we really appreciate all they have done for us! I will be posting some Christmas pics soon!

Andy worked last night and works again tonight so he is sleeping right now. We opened presents this morning and will have an early Christmas dinner before he goes to work. We are going to go see Marley & Me on Saturday. I'm so excited to see the movie. The book was great!! We also have some other things planned for the weekend as well as Monday(I'm off work Monday).

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Andy and I had a very nice and quiet day. We woke up to snow and have received about 6 inches of snow...love having a white Christmas. I think our dogs realized it was Christmas and actually let us sleep in-until like 7:30. I finally got my Colts jersey from Andy! I think that is one of my favorite presents! I have been wanting one the past couple of years but never did get it.

We both talked to our families today. Both said they hope we have moved back next year so we can be with them. I have to agree. It is so hard not being with our families on Christmas. I miss all the Christmas traditions that we had. Next year we will be there...I'm thinking positive. =)

Once the holidays are over, we will be back in the cycle of dr. appts, fertility drugs, and hoping for the best. We have talked alot about adoption this past weekend and have decided that once we move, if we're not pregnant, we're going to start the process. I still hope that someday I will be able to have a baby but realize that it may not happen. Adopting is something I have always wanted to do since I was adopted. I always believed that it was something that I had to do. We'll see what God has planned for us. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas is almost here

This year has flown by! I can't believe Christmas is in 2 days and 2008 will be here soon. This year has been a great year! In 2006, we kept saying 2007 will be a great year and we were right. We both are still have the same jobs that we really like. We sold our house in Nov. It only took two months to sell it! Our friend and families are healthy and have been a great support to us.

We are hoping to move to Indiana in 2008. Andy has applied to a few police departments and has flown back to test with 2 of them. We're keeping our fingers crossed that he'll get hired onto one soon! We are really wanting to be closer to our families. This time of year is so hard since we don't get to spend the holidays with our families. Hopefully next year we will be with them.

We were hoping that we would be expecting a new addition to our family in 2007 but that hasn't happened. Hopefully in 2008 we'll have better luck! Our two labs still keep us busy but it's obviously not the same as having a baby. We have a great dr. who is trying to help this dream come true for us but it seems like my body hasn't a different plan.
